Thanks, buddy. I'd love to, but I'm no longer sure I can find an agent, much less a publisher. But it is a thought I have, as would be natural for a writer.

I’ll be your Huckleberry. Lord I love that scene so. But good to get some reality, even if it’s Kevin’s 😉. Another great story James. Good to read it as it always is. Life > politics sometimes, and certainly more interesting, generally.

I read that Ringo was barefooted when found. Like Doc, he was well read, possibly afflicted with depression. For those interested in Doc and Ringo, the best book is “Doc” by Mary Doris Russell. Well researched and written.

Ms. Russell's novels on Doc are magnificent. Also, I highly recommend her science fiction novel, "Sparrow." She needs to be a more celebrated writer. Really a great talent.

I sincerely hope you're planning to turn these great missives into a book. Great, great stuff

Great story, but you left out one thing. Didn't Doc Holliday shoot a man in Reno just to watch him die? I think he even sang about it afterward.

Doc Holliday and Kevin the Cocaine Fiend: Archetypes of the American West, a century apart. Great storytelling as usual, Jim.

Kevin is just one of those mysteries that come along. I'm hoping he cleaned up his act. As for Doc, I think the American frontier would've had to invent him had he not come along.
