As a recently retired RN, I watch in horror at the decimation of our health agencies. This brain drain cannot be undone by a reverse executive order in three years. People will have moved on with their careers, many out of the country.

I worked through Covid taking care of patients in my state, and then my mother, who lived in an adjacent state was taken to the hospital and died, with another nurse at her bedside, and only iPad farewells from her own family. So many nightmares. That was pre vaccine. In my darkest moments, I wonder if they are trying to passively engineer some master race. I am daily sickened by this regime. Thank you for your writing. Always appreciate it.

It is well known that the Magats implement eugenics, the application of which must be applied without scientific interference, in order to achieve the purity necessary to cleanse our country from social and political disease.

I remember my sisters and I getting out sugar cubes, and that was that. By this time (early 60s), the disease had been knocked down and was on its way to the ashen of history. It take a peculiar type of arrogance on the part of RFK Jr. et al. to think they — recipients of all those vaccines that kept them alive and healthy through childhood — now know better than the entire medical establishment and can ignore that amazing historical success of the vaccination public health program.

I am upset about the sugar cube thing. We got the two scratches on our shoulder. A scar we carried into our beer drinking years. I still wake up at night in a sweat; why, Dear Lord, why Jax Beer? The horror, the horror.

The existential danger we are fixing to confront with no public health will be bad. Before the days of public health everyone knew it was a dangerous world out there and governed themselves accordingly. As detailed in the article, people were cautious about allowing their children to play, etc. Jim Bob got to play outside, but i suspect there were other children who did not.

However, what we are now heading into is worse. People are being misled about the real danger of these diseases. Because they have never seen the ravages of polio, measles, smallpox or even a flue epidemic, they are not making an accurate risk assessment on vaccination. This is not mere ignorance. People take their clues from political leaders who hold themselves out as experts. RFK Jr therefore is deceiving people about the danger and they are falling for it.

This may not be optimal, but it is a cold hard fact. Let's not continue to belabor the same point over and over that people who take cues from idiots get what they deserve. The whole point of public health is to protect the general public regardless of individual predilections. Now is the time for ethical public service from Congress. Will we see RFK Jr impeached? No. They value their own hides more.

Republicans cower before Trump threats and Democrats cannot perceive how to defy him.

Dear Madam, forgive my coarseness, but we are all pissing in a foul wind when attempting to speak reason, as you so well do, to an ignorant disobliging herd, all seemingly infected with hoof in mouth disease.

The most dangerous sickness that hovers over the land stems from the Orange Turd, his flunky underlings and the (supposed) Republican Party.

The inevitable ignorance and tendency of the primitive cruelty of children is masterfully depicted by James Moore as having its return in the regressive behaviours of a sociopathic administration - one bereft of even the faintest vestiges of childhood innocence that might provide some psychological explanation for its gratuitous racist, sadistic, and murderously fascistic policies and actions.

What I also meant here is that Jim Bob Moore also adumbrates a particular kindness in children that was manifestly never a childhood aspect of those bullying adults now driving the US towards authoritarianism.

One can only look into their individual backgrounds for clues as to why.

The good news is that overtime, the antivaxxer’s ignorance will do them in over the long hall. Natural selection will take them out. Unfortunately thier policies will have lots of collateral damage. You couldn’t pay me enough to send my grand children to public schools in Florida now.

Yeah, Bob, idiots always end up injuring innocents, and even killing some. I'd like to see happen to some of these policy idiots what happened to leaders of the Reich after Germany fell. There will be uncountable deaths on their hands, and there ought to be judgment.

Absolutely all true.

What gets me is that they don’t question the origins of the meds they take to cure Covid like Paxlovid when they become sick or drugs they dump down like ivermectin (an anti parasite drug for animals that’s very effective, but has no anti viral qualities, figure that one out) or chloroquine, another parasitic. And what about cancer treatments, talk about a cornucopia of drugs in chemo cocktails? They have no more idea how those drugs work than they do a vaccine but they take it. You don’t hear any questions there though do you? It’s their resistance to being told by the government scientist that this is what they have to do. Like a baby pitching a temper tantrum when it’s told not to put something in its mouth they want to because it could choke. That’s all it is, a temper tantrum.

They have no clue about how any of the medicines OR vitamins they take originate from or work but they take them, they just can't take being told to do it
