1. The Republican party of Nixon, Goldwater and Reagan is gone, replaced by the cult of personality loyal only to Trump.
2. The "we are a republic, not a democracy" rant is just more conservative spin. We are a democracy - a representative democracy, but a democracy nonetheless.
3. The is no equivalency between the two parties at this point. The Trumpian GOP intends to destroy our democracy and neuter the Constitution. The Democratic party doesn't - it's that clear a choice.
4. Turnout will decide this election. Democrats need to push voter registration for every high school graduate who just turned 18, and push every eligible voter to show up at the polls in November.
Quoting Jabba the Hut, the king of Illinois, was precious.
Accusing Trump of jeopardizing the 2 party system seems to agree with your advocacy of destroying the Republican party in order to have a uniparty system of totalitarian leftist Democrats.
Trump is destroying the Republican party and after this election it will take a generation for it to rebuild and become meaningful again. We will be stuck with a single party country until new alignments emerge.
Also, I know your types don't like the constitution, but we are a constitutional republic, not a democratic republic as you say, or as our psychotic president says - "our democracy."
While the US was, indeed, founded as a constitutional republic, we have become a bit more hybrid with the constant development of more democratic processes. The body politic has tried very hard through the years to find a delicate balance between the two, but Trump's emergence is a clear indication we continue to struggle to get things right.
Mmm - I even went to the dictionary to look up the term “ psychotic” in case I had mistaken its meaning but no - it still means what I thought it meant ie “a collection of symptoms that affect the mind, where there has been some loss of contact with reality. During an episode of psychosis, a person's thoughts and perceptions are disrupted and they may have difficulty recognizing what is real and what is not.”
So you will I hope forgive my being confused when you apply it to the current POTUS as opposed to his predecessor who has so recently treated us to his opinion of whether dying by electrocution is better than being eaten by a shark. Was it not also he who claimed that windmills were driving whales batty and rambled on about sweeping the forests to prevent fires?
As for not liking the constitution who is it who talked about the SCOTUS intervening in a certain very recent state prosecution which ended in 34 felony counts in which he claimed that he was good friends with some of them and he knew they shared his concerns. Which bit of the U.S. Constitution allows the Speaker of the HoR to try to intervene in a state criminal process?
I am, of course, not calling the current president psychotic, but senile dementia advances at varying rates, and can often lead to momentary psychoses, disconnects from the reality present to the person. Probably exactly what has happened a few times to Mitch McDonnell, and there's no reason to think it cannot happen to our current accomplished president. And I mentioned in the piece the speaker and his idiocy of having the supreme court intervene is state court decisions. I think Trump is both psychotic and pathological, though I am not a clinician and don't know if those are both possible at the same time. He certainly presents symptoms of both.
Sorry, I was trying to reply to Dorian Gray who had in fact done just that and called the present president psychotic. Apologies if I have somehow confused you with him.
This cannot happen, tRump cannot be elected president. There is no good to come from it. Even the people in his camp will suffer. They will lose jobs, tRump will deflect, blame the Democrats. Tax cuts will be enacted robbing the conservative base of benefits while the 1% are the true leaders and the only ones to benefit from this tRumpian presidency. When someone tells you who they are believe them. Concentration camps will be erected housing thousands of dissenters (Liberals) and immigrants who he intends to deport, where? Ukraine will fall. The member countries of NATO will be sucked into war with the axis of Russia, China and the USA among others. Life in the states for the bottom 50% will be hell, even for the tRumpets who have nothing to offer on bribe to his highness. Wages will be shit, hours will be long. Even for the children working to feed their families as they die from diseases long thought in extinction.
I don't have room here to list the disaster tRump and his angry band of cronies will bring. Do yourselves a favor, look and see. Listen as this vindictive orange shitheal tells you who he is and BELIEVE HIM.
Thank you Mr. Moore for allowing me to share my nightmare.

Hint: when you denigrate a communication attempt by calling “your types”, you lose reception to your point. Try again.
Thank you for pointing out what turned out to be a disaster!
Excellent propaganda!

Not your fault. It's the way the software is set up.
