I gotta agree with everything you have said JB. It all seems so plain to see. Conservatives who "pretend" not to see these facts are just playing along with Abutt and Desaint us Their motives are also plain to see. Thanks for bringing these games to the forefront.
As you suggested on a previous comment, a Marshall Plan for the Americas south of our border (2+ the size of Western Europe) has merit. How to keep it from being a trough from which the existing governments feed their oligarchy, that would be the trick. Maybe Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, the oil companies, and all the others who shared in the spoils can kick in on a (spitballed) $500 billion fund. It sounds like selling Mojave Desert land for development, but I think the only way it could work and have the American folks accept it would be if it were designed as a combined effort between the US and public/private corporations. At the least, it would be one heck of an ad campaign.
#Abbottini & #DeathSentence are the scum of the scummy republiKKKLan cult...#TheTexasTaliban has enabled the actions that are causing immigrant deaths...they've turned Texas to a cesspool of hate...
Absolutely accurate assessment. I’m sorry the news coverage is lacking. But new reporters have been hired to cover Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, perhaps rightfully, given their economic and social impact. But, still, the economic and social impact of this massive number of immigrants deserves constant reporting. Are editorial decisions based on popularity? Eyeballs?
Have to say no, Myra. Very few reporters covering the issue on a regular basis, and opinion writers have not spent much time on it because of the remote nature of the border from the major cities. They don't go down there, with some exception, to see what is happening, or they've never been there and are new to Texas and have no real perspective.

Yeah, who knew there'd ever be such a thing as a "Taylor Swift Beat" for a reporter, eh Moore?
Are these facts being covered in this way by media organizations there?

Jesus! A national issue/disgrace in their own backyards.
Sounds about right. Civilization hasn't progressed much in the last 2,000 years.
