I don't think there's any better purpose in life than helping lessen the struggles in another persons life. I sure would like Gov Abbott to explain what his purpose is.
Thank you, Pat! I will write today. Much as I would love to scorch Cornyn, Cruz & Abbott, I have no confidence at all that letters to them would even put a dent in their positions.
I have been told by former staffers that they keep a tally of constituent positions. So I make my correspondence short. If I have to snail-mail I use postcards because letters have to go thru screenings and time is lost.
Since this is a primary state I am seriously considering voting in the R primary next tme - if their candidates are not further to the right of the incumbents.
I've toyed with the same urge.....hoping to find some upstanding GOP candidates I can support. I know they are out there, so maybe if we stop voting straight tickets we can actually help the situation.
