Whether you have a cause or a candidate or a product, saying the right thing, and saying it well, can be profoundly challenging. That’s why people who have expertise in media training and marketing and messaging tend to be able to command top dollar for their services. They aren’t always right, of course, but even if they come close, the words they help create and deliver can make the difference between success and failure for any endeavor.
I only hope that the issue lasts longer than the 15 minutes of notice then on to watching cat videos on YouTube that seems to be endemic to our voters. Individual rights, that cornerstone of GOP existence, where is it more visible than the Women’s Rights issue? It shouldn’t even be necessary to call out the hypocrisy, deceit, and woeful ignorance of the MAGA crowd and their march toward medievalism. Yet here we are imploring, importuning, begging people to do one thing, cannonading arguments that have no honest rebuttal, all to convince people to get off their butt and vote. It all comes down to that: showing up. It may be difficult but I promise we can all say at least we did one thing to officially rebuke an evil that men do. Who knows, maybe we may even change the world.
