You are so kind, Sheri. Thank you. I'm going to try to put in my inspirational stories of my travels and adventure in the future, but people do expect political analyses from me, so that will drop in from time to time. Thanks again for your support.

I listened to it as if it were a podcast. Although I am a senior citizen, I love podcasts. Your largeraudience may be different, though. If the two of you do meet at that bar, recod it!

Thanks, Bridget. I'm going to try to get back to podcasting my stuff. I know people like to listen on the treadmill, walking, in the car, and are more inclined to do that than read long pieces. Deece and I will likely record this, too, when we do it again. Thanks for being a loyal reader!!

I have not read this yet and will get back to you in a bit after I do. But any conversation you have with Deece will be enjoyable and illuminating.

Yep. Called that right. I always enjoy Deece's inside view of the personalities and the political intricacies. The interaction between you is insightful and entertaining. Now I can pretend to read the tea leaves as this unfolds. I expect that Dan Patrick will find a way to cut Paxton loose with that 'good Texan tragically brought low by his own corruption' approach. I would really love to see the thumbs down scenario play out. I laughed out loud at that one. Thanks for an enjoyable read this morning. Miss Deece in the office!

IF the trial is "performative and fatuous?" In this Texas legislature? It's gonna be better than The Housewives of Where Ever. As to plucking the offending eye, at the age of twelve, Paxton 's eye was damaged in a game of hide-and-seek; leading to his droopy eye. I think he should wear a patch over it. Give him a hint of sophistication and derring do. A scarf on his head may be over the top but I don't know. Could work for him. It would add a nice touch to the trial.

And I like y'all's chat. Highly edible insight from two top political pros. Keep it coming.

His drooping eye isn't the issue; it's his drooping soul.
