"Texas, the friendly state." Supposedly, "Texas" came from "Tejas" the Spanish translation of the indigenous locals. I guess it's time to qualify our state motto but the parenthetical approach lacks simplicity and punch, and "Texas, the unfriendly state," is not the best way to keep the tourists spending their money here. Maybe the best way, and the most efficient and inexpensive, marketing-wise, would be to get rid of the unfriendly aspect that infects the validity of the motto. Get my drift? If not, here's a hint: Vote.

Hey it’s what I’m here for, Rog!
Berlin wall anyone?

Problem is, though, they are making it harder and harder to vote. It's just not that simple any more to retake control of our democracy.
I shoulda said: Vote, while we still can.
Texas and Tejas are the Spanish translations of the Native American Caddo language word "teysha" or "tejas," meaning "friends".
