Those who enjoy stories of The West and Doc would equally enjoy reading Mary Doria Russell's novel, "Doc." It's well researched and written and will earn a coveted place in any book collection. Like Jim, any who go down Doc's storied road, find it hard to get off it being so worthy of the trip.
Agree, her novel is probably as close to the truth as we'll ever get, seeing through the myth at least a bit, and it's still a hell of an American story.
For a second, reading about the Colorado corporate seduction I flashed on https://www.tutor2u.net/business/blog/probably-the-best-hr-joke-in-the-world Glad it worked out.
A great diversion from the news of the day.
I really enjoy reading about your early days as a journalist.
