Your dad was a wonderful, kind, and interesting man. What great good fortune for you to have him as your father. I wish I had met him sooner but at least I got to know him for a while.

Thanks, Caroline. Didn't know y'all had moved to Bastrop. Chuck's studio is not open to the public, though that might be a fine idea for his widow to consider. Give my regards to Steve.

Thanks, buddy. Chuck and you would have become fast friends, too.

And that there's not much more valuable in life than time with friends, which was the mantra of our other recently departed pal Bob Hanson.

He sounds like an incredible person, a presence. Anyone afraid of making changes and entertaining passions should read this.

He was, Kris, just a joy to be around, always something swimming in his mind that he wanted to examine and share. You'd have loved him, compelled to create art for the sake of art itself.

Thanks to you and Greta for taking my Dad on a beautiful farewell. He was lucky to have you as a friend. That street didn't run one way. I should be so lucky to have such a moving trip and tribute. I plan on sending my part of the ashes into the sea off S. Padre Island where we spent much time. I think they will meet up with yours as they exit the Rio Grande where further shenanigans will commence. To honor my Dad's final wish I will find that agent so the stories he created can be enjoyed by a wider audience.

Wonderful tribute. Where in Bastrop? Now that we are here, I would love to see his studio if it's open to the public.
