I say "like," but you know what I mean. On a day like this, it's exceedingly hard to be proud to be an American. All I know to do is to keep moving forward, one day at a time; on some days, 15 minutes at a time.
Maybe all our little battles turn into a big, winnable war, Mick. Meant to say I enjoyed your piece this morning, too. I think I need about a week of sitting next to a cat watching it rain and contemplating the greater scheme of the cosmos. Of course, we don't do rain in Texas any more, unless it's a Biblical style flood where the animals instinctively start walking in pairs and looking for a mythical ship.
The stories we did about Esequiel haunt me still. Thanks for keeping him in our view.
