I can't help but believe that the appointment of the historical punchline Merrick Garland and his "Don't do anything that might be seen as political" tenure as Attorney General bears an enormous amount of blame for not being able to hold the ringleader of Treason & Insurrection to account in the 46 months between 2021 Inauguration and 2024 Election.

Trump hoarded (and almost certainly already sold) Top Secret Intel and clumsily and obviously attempted to hide the documents, and was given over two years of the benefit of the AG's inane edict to not seem "partisan" in pursuit of investigation and prosecution, which allowed the always-adept-at-delay Republican judicial apparatchiks to run out a clock whose alarm should have been blasting on 1/21/21.

Similarly, his Insurrection conspiracy (and multitude of Conspirators--including dozens still in elected office) should have been prosecuted from Day One. Biden and his Machiavellian support staff bear the blame for a LOT of the ineptitude of the messaging with this administration, but Garland will stand forever as the emptiest possible empty suit who sleepwalked for years while the sands of accountability drained in the hourglass.

But, will the people even care what they see on tv? Will they care if they see it while driving through their neighborhoods? Will they care when they can't hire the same housekeeper they had for years because she's now in some encampment or deported? I don't know, I think many simply won't care until the food is rotting in the fields...and even then they will find a way to blame democrats.

I'm not even sure what to think or do about all of this and I really despise that we're basically subjected to a bonus 2.5 months of the circus in the interim.
