I don't want to diminish the seriousness of the situation, but there's going to be a lot of great comedy today about the failure of Trump's birthday "perade" to draw a crowd. And a hell of a lot of funny signs from various "No Kings" rallies across the country.
Yeah, it turned out to be more pathetic than I had even imagined it could be. And the signs were fantastic at the protests. $45 million to stroke his ego. Imagine what that could have done for veterans of the military.
“Someone, somewhere, will pull a trigger, accidentally or otherwise, and it will be like tearing at the last thread of our republic’s garment.” How horribly and accurately prescient, Jim. You posted this about 1/2 hour before a lunatic in Minnesota actually DID pull a trigger.
Texas already has a worse tax burden than California, the most polluted air, toll roads that make the cost of travel ridiculous for commuters, schools that are losing funding so the governor can invest in religious education, a shortage of water in metro areas, more than a million uninsured children, (the most of any state,) highest rate of infant mortality, largest percentage of high school pregnancies among teens, and the greatest number of gun deaths per capita in the country. Texas could do worse than become more like California.

Just a few of the signs, amigo. Thought you’d enjoy:
Trump's hands are smaller than his respect for democracy
MAGA - Morons Are Governing America
Veto the Cheeto
Orange lies matter
ICE is best crushed
I think we'll get millions of protestors with that courage and commitment. Yesterday was very encouraging.

Well put!
