(Donald Trump may have presided over an attempt to stop the peaceful transfer of power, but his failed coup is not the first to happen in America. The initial attempt unfolded in full view of the American public when John Fitzgerald Kennedy was murdered in Dallas, and we still have not owned up to the truth of what actually transpired that day. What follows here is my outline for a TV series that offers a different interpretation of November 22, 1963, how we got there, and who was really behind the treachery. The characters in this series are real people of historical note, and this is my analysis for a speculative Netflix-style TV series. Anybody wanna make some teevee? Also, because of the length of this document, it will not all show up in the body of your email and you will need to click on a link offered at the end to read the full proposal’s narrative. - JM)
Yeah, Bridget, I was going to write about the Great Texas Santa Clause bank robbery from 1927 but my historical research indicates that three people were killed as a result of the robbery and then one of the robbers was publicly lynched by a mob a few days later. Not exactly a seasonal heart warmer, either. But I've been fiddling with this for a while and it got done at an odd time so I let 'er fly.
This has in fact inspired me. I've never before read or heard of a JFK conspiracy story that moved me. I'm not inclined to believe conspiracies and I'm not an Oliver Stone fan.. But this is so rich and I recently started a historical fiction piece on my mom where I use Fredericksburg for the setting. So this just has to be weaved into my story for fun if nothing else. I'm going to include Admiral Nimitz and the Die Haengebande as well.
Not exactly a Christmas story, but I confess to finishing the entire piece while up early, drinking coffee, and thinking about what to wear to Christmas Mass this morning. Geeze! Way better than “House of Cards” or the Jeffery Epstein saga. Maybe you need to write that one as well!
Well, it's not exactly inspiring Christmas reading, even for the Mahoney boys.

I don't see Burns as the right guy for this. He's a bit of an establishment historian. But thanks for the suggestion, Robert, and for reading.

Good story, strong outline Jim. If you can weave in Johnson’s beagles, you’ve got it all.
Wow. You should contact Ken Burns.

I can't finish this in one sitting, but you got me hooked.
