So you’re not saying it was Trump attorney Ty Cobb who would play dirty by sliding into opposing counsel’s table cleats at the ready? Think I once exceeded the boundaries of bb namedropping when attempting to convince our daughter the doctor that the sleep-inducing substance melatonin had been first introduced by famed NY Giants right fielder Mel Ott. :)
I'm sure your daughter, like most baseball fans outside of NYC, asked, "Who's Mel Ott?" Actually, not a bad hitter. Weak arm, as I recall, and a little slow to the ball on defense.
Soooo much crap going on it's hard to concentrate on anything that's not catastrophic...baseball & spring training is(are ?) good therapy...stay sane...
Thanks JB. Does anyone live like that anymore? I'll bet even our lard and savor Mike Johnson doesn't have discipline like that. I'm still waiting for someone to catch Mikey in a closet with a little girl. Or, he'll pull a Swagert.
I do not know of anyone who has never drank, smoked, or gone to a movie or all three, back in my day all three at once. That speaks to the times though too. Have a great BB season. Go Astros! Go Rangers!

Thanks for sharing not only current events but a whimsical and poignant tale about a member of my family.
You are related to Hornsby, Brian? Very interesting.
On my grandmother's side.

I'm working on the sanity, thing, amigo. Hasn't slipped away yet but these are precarious times.
Play Ball! Now it’s my grandson Mike who loves the game, like his Dad and his Grandfather and his GreatGrandfather before him.
