Yesterday, in an interview with Michael Smirconish, Christy Shamblin, Marine Sgt. Gee's mother-in-law, said that her family, along with three other families and additional wounded Afghanistan veterans, "...invited both President Trump and the Biden Harris administration, and we didn't hear back from the White House." That the Arlington visit was a "more celebratory feeling for that day..." and that "they [the Trump team] were very respectful and we didn't see any altercation..." I don't doubt her words or her innocence regarding the ensuing unintended consequences. However, considering that Steven Cheung, Trump campaign spokesperson, along with senior staffer LaCivita, were involved, attests to the fact that this was no private affair, and at the very least, those two provocateurs approached the cemetery official at Arlington National Cemetery in a less than respectful manner. The Trump team desperately needed to inflate Trump's military bona fides, and this event was the method to that need. Therefore, if it means Trump stepping past veterans' graves much like he pushed past Prime Ministers and Presidents at the 2017 NATO Conference, well then, so be it. If it means accosting and demeaning a government official doing her authorized job, so be it. We should all comprehend and be forewarned by that comprehension, that the Arlington event signifies that nothing is off the table in getting Trump into the White House, either before or after the election in November.

Don't forget, he did, in fact tape a campaign commercial in the cemetery, and Corey Lewandowski, his top campaign advisor was present for events at Arlington. There is zero doubt this was a campaign event, though the family probably didn't realize that was going to happen when Trump accepted their invitation. In any case, it was a violation of federal regulations at ANC.

...and a violation of decency.

Trump never does anything out of respect of the Military, it always self serving! He losing Military and he needed a boost. He did it as a Campaign Ad, and Trump brought his enforcers along to insure it was done! The women who was standing guard told the truth! And like others on the feed I could point out several potential individuals who shoved her, because they have done it before! I believe the campaign manipulated this family!

I wonder if the family actually invited this waste of flesh to the cemetery on their own or were they encouraged to by campaign staff? I’m sort of appalled that the family was standing there grinning with him. I’m not sure they understood the sanctity of grounds either. We seem to be in such a “look at me” selfie world that I don’t think people think much at all sometimes.

Many things depress and confound me regarding Trump supporters. But I think the most vexing puzzle is how he still receives the admiration of some in the military. From his bone spurs, to the John McCain insults to smiling and giving thumbs up over a dead soldier's grave....I just can't fathom how anyone who has served doesn't absolutely loathe this hypocrite.

He has the support of malcontents or those that only watch limited coverage of his repeated disrespect he has displayed to our Military and their family but the people around him have testified about his remarks an still do! From the beginning of his campaign in 2015 throughout his term and now! So don’t want to know!

What Elvis Costello wrote about another corrupt politician also applies to this guy:

Well I hope I don't die too soon

I pray the lord my soul to save

Oh I'll be a good boy, I'm trying so hard to behave

Because there's one thing I know, I'd like to live

Long enough to savor

That's when they finally put you in the ground

I'll stand on your grave and tramp the dirt down

Amen, brother. My father, who served in two wars and was a staunch Republican, would have nothing but disgust for this atrocity of a human.

Well done my friend! Right on the mark!

I am livid as a Military Dependent and a Military Spouse, along with many who believe we respect the service of our personnel and thes solemnity of Arlington National Cemetery, is not to be disrespected by a X5 Draft Dodgers, X4 for Educational deferment and X1 for Bone Spurs, a doctor who rented space in Fred Trumps building, this according to the doctors daughter, no one in Trumps family knew he had a problem? This man has continually disrespected the Military since 2015, he does however repeatedly use them as photo props!

This latest screw up will continue to back fire against him! The volunteer was pushed, trying to stop the filming which is against the rules. His best thugs were in this entourage and they pushed people before!

Despicable as usual, using the graves of those he calls "suckers" and "losers" for a campaign video, in violation of federal law. But hey, the law doesn't apply to him, not to mention he's "sent from God" so can do what he wants. Would love to know more about that Fox screen shot - if those numbers are accurate that's the most encouraging thing I've seen in a long while.
