I'd sure like to know some solutions that would work, solutions that are legal, humane, effective. The opposite of what our imperious governor initiates.
Some of the things the Biden admin is doing are, in fact, working. The online app seeking asylum and entry is keeping people from crossing and losing their chances for a legal entry. Also, suspending Title 42 is allowing immediate deportation of violators who have no special claims to asylum or other reasons for being in the country without going through process. Daily interactions between agents and the CBP are down from 10,000 to 3500, too, which is not an insignificant decrease.
There was supposed to be a news conference late yesterday, I believe, by an environmental group in Laredo, which was going detail the problems to be caused for wildlife, migrating and simply dealing the river as habitat.

It's horrible on so many levels. I'm surprised environmentalists are not shouting out about it, too. I imagine this is a horror for wildlife.

“Myopic” is a great adjective to apply to Abbott and the TX legislature!
