John Holsinger is the kind of thinker and writer who can actually provide his followers with useful insights and information to better their lives and understanding of the world around them. He took a near tragic bicycle accident and turned his recovery and reflection into a compelling narrative and prescriptive for our difficult times. I find him and his story inspiring, and know you will, too.
Author Kristen Tsetsi deals with an issue many people don't even realize is an issue. Why are we all expected to mate and pro-create? What do we sacrifice of our personal lives to become parents? And in an overcrowded world of shrinking resources, isn't having a child a moral quandary?
Mick writes with both whimsy and insight on everything from the natural world to politics. He can be as hard-hitting on our national political scene as he is poignant and hopeful about nature. I highly recommend reading his work.
Consistently the best coverage of the Texas legislature and its attempts to mimic the illegal ministrations of Trump and his sycophants. Highly recommend everyone read and subscribe to Lone Star Left. Smart and insightful writing and important videos you might not otherwise see. This is important awareness made easy and engaging that does not rely on donors or advertisers.
John writes with great vulnerability about his life in Northern New Mexico and a sensitivity to the light and loss that have come with the joys of living in the terrible high desert. I've spent a lot of time in Colorado and New Mexico through the years and John seems to know it and feel it better than any of us other outlanders. And his work is just as compelling as he writes his touching narratives of life's most difficult passages. I am glad i came upon his work.
